How to Keep Your Mug Looking Brand New

Our mugs are built to handle daily life — microwave, dishwasher, and everyday wear included — but a little care goes a long way toward keeping that print looking as sharp as day one. Here's the definitive (and short) guide.

Everyday Cleaning

  • Dishwasher-safe — toss it in with the rest of your dishes, no special settings needed.
  • Hand washing — warm water and regular dish soap is all it takes. No special cleaners required.
  • Avoid abrasive scouring pads or steel wool — they can dull the glossy finish over time, even though the print itself is bonded into the surface.

Microwave Use

Our mugs are fully microwave-safe for reheating coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. A couple of quick tips:

  • Avoid extended high-power runs (multiple minutes at max power) — short bursts of 30–60 seconds are gentler on any ceramic mug over the long run.
  • Let it sit a moment before grabbing the handle — ceramic retains heat well, which is great for your coffee, less great for grabbing it straight out of the microwave.

What to Avoid

  • No metal utensils scraping the inside — stirring with a spoon is fine, but avoid aggressive scraping against the print area.
  • Don't submerge for long soaks — a quick wash is fine, but avoid leaving it sitting in standing water for hours.
  • Skip harsh chemical cleaners — bleach or strong solvents aren't necessary and can dull the finish faster than normal wear would.

The Short Version

Wash it, microwave it, use it daily — that's exactly what it's designed for. Our lead and BPA-free ceramic and sublimation-printed design are built to handle real life, not just sit on a shelf. Just skip the steel wool and you're set.
